Portland : Maine

Portland, in Cumberland County is Maine's business, financial and retail capital and the largest city in the state. The community was named after the city in England. This city is balanced on a peninsula jutting out into island-studded Casco Bay. Portland is a vibrant city with a perfect blend of the old world and the modern urban environment. Portland is also the second largest oil port on the East Coast and the largest foreign inbound transit tonnage port in the United States!
Summers are bad in Portland and winters are cold. Maximum number of sunny days are recorded in autumn. Heavy seasonal snowfalls of over 100 inches occur about every 10 years. Fog along the coast is sometimes a factor in the weather during the summer months of June, July and August.
