Maine is divided into eight tourism regions - Presque Isle, Calais, Bangor, Augusta, Bath, Portland, Kittery, and Lewiston. Some of the important tourist places are:

    * Acadia National Park : This is the first national park established in the east of Mississippi. You can hike to the top of Cadillac Mountain, or bike tree-lined carriage roads at Acadia.

    * Portland Museum of Art - Portland Exhibits in this museum focus on American artists and their works on Maine. Winslow Homer, Andrew Wyeth, and Marsden Hartley are among many featured artists. Exhibits also include European works as well.

    * Moosehead Lake - Greenville This is Maine's largest lake and home to countless outdoor activities including mountain climbing, hiking, kayaking, fly-fishing, boating, ice fishing, camping, and much more.
